Design
Every detail begins with care; for our community, our planet, and the longevity of what we create.
From fabric selection and trims to printing techniques and construction standards, each decision reflects CMNTY GRDN’s commitment to responsible design. We prioritise materials that tread lightly, choosing organic natural fibres, recycled fabrics, and deadstock that might otherwise go to waste.
Even the smallest elements are considered: our brand and size labels are made with a minimum of 50% recycled damask polyester, while our care labels use 100% recycled satin. We are currently transitioning all future labels to 100% cotton for an even lower-impact footprint.
Proudly designed and made in Australia, every piece is a reflection of our ongoing effort to do better; thoughtfully, transparently, and with purpose.
Packaging
Our commitment to thoughtful production extends to every layer; including how your order arrives.
At CMNTY GRDN, we’re constantly exploring better ways to reduce our environmental impact, beginning with the packaging we choose to use, or not use. We’ve removed unnecessary extras like swing tags and individual garment bags to keep waste to a minimum, while still ensuring your pieces arrive safely.
Orders are wrapped in 99.9% recycled eco kraft paper and packed into 99.9% recycled cardboard mailers; both recyclable and home-compostable. Our sealing tape is made from 100% recycled paper, certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), and can be composted or placed in curbside recycling.
We encourage our community to reuse packaging where possible; whether wrapping a gift, shipping a return, or giving materials a second life. Our swimwear hygiene liners are also plastic-free, made from wood pulp and a commercially compostable adhesive.

Product Care
We design with intention; but the life of each piece is shaped by how it’s cared for.
At CMNTY GRDN, we believe in extending the life of your garments through conscious care. While every piece is crafted with quality and longevity in mind, we invite our community to adopt gentle habits that support durability and reduce unnecessary waste.
Start with spot cleaning when possible, and wash only when truly needed. We recommend cold hand washing and line drying in the shade to preserve fabric integrity and minimise water and energy use. Avoid hot water, tumble drying, and harsh chemical detergents.
We also encourage mending or repairing your pieces instead of discarding them — small acts that help keep clothing in circulation and out of landfill.
Together, these quiet choices make a meaningful difference.
