CARE GUIDE
While we ensure our pieces are designed and manufactured thoughtfully and responsibly for quality and longevity, we implore that our community practice mindful habits with garment care as well. Together we can help reduce the chance of garments ending up in landfill, and reduce energy consumption and water usage from over-washing. See below for some mindful garment care instructions.
- Rinse in cold water immediately after every use (this helps remove any chemical, salt and sand which can contribute to fading and stretching of your swimwear)
- Line dry in the shade (drying wet swimwear in the sun can contribute to the polymer chains of the fabric breaking down quicker)
- Hand wash only, using mild detergent
- Avoid abrasive surfaces (rough surfaces will catch on your swim and pull the fabric and cause pilling)
- Please read each individual garment care label for specific instructions for that garment.
- Cold hand washing is preferable
- Line dry in the shade
- Avoid hot water, tumble drying and harsh chemicals
- Repair your garment where possible rather than discarding
- Please read each individual garment care label for specific instructions for the garment.
- Spot clean first
- Only wash when dirty (Synthetic fabrics can leak tiny microfibres into the waters, so it is best to wash less)
- Use mild, chemical free detergents to protect our waters and your clothing
- Mend clothes when they break (help prevent more clothes ending up in landfill that can be easily repaired)
- If you no longer want your clothing item, consider giving it to a friend, selling it at a market, or donating to charity, rather than discarding it
